swimming, tomatoes, and cat claws

Lots of fun summertime stuff going on here... all in a lazy kind of way - and I'm loving it!!

Bennett is still a swimming fanatic

The boys have nurtured 4 tomato plants on the back porch for what seems like at least 3 years and they finally got the first ripe one last night (it's a yellow tomato!! Who'd have thought??)

And Roger has red, white and blue softpaws for the 4th.
You can't say we aren't a patriotic family!!!
And yes, he's still on the table!! How do I get him to stop doing that??
What's that you say?? I shouldn't be rewarding him by taking his picture?? Oh, ok....

i'm not sure if it will work on the table since it might damage the finish or paint on it, but for other furniture if you want to keep him off try this. take clear packing tape, make a few rolls of it, put it on the furniture and when he jumps up he'll stick. it should scare him enough that he won't try it again for a while. if he does just put more tape on it.

I actually just read that you should put that plastic stuff that you use as floor mats under your office chair (that has the little spiky things on the bottom)on whatever surface you don't want him to be on- and put it spiky side up. The article said they don't like the feeling of those spikes. And you can just remove it when you're using the table. Maybe he would learn, and then you wouldn't have to use it forever...??
And you should send that picture of him into softpaws.com. I keep trying to get a good one of Molly, but she's never showing off her paws!! Maybe if Roger gets famous, she'll get the hint. :)
